Turmeric Hummus

Turmeric Hummus
Are you ready for the best hummus of your life? In addition to being very delicious, it happens to be good for your immune system and your joints!

It is free of added oil, it can be excellent for ten o'clock, a snack or even a light dinner! Great idea for a welcoming bite as well!

Ingredients:

1 can of chickpeas (4-5 teaspoon of juice also needed)

1 tablespoon Turmeric powder

1 mocha spoon of ground cumin

1 mocha spoon ground nutmeg

2-3 tablespoons of nutritional yeast flakes

2 tablespoons tahini (sesame seed cream)

1 teaspoon black salt

½ lime juice

optional: 2 cloves garlic

All ingredients are placed in a high-performance blender or food processor and blended into a creamy mix. Turmeric gives such a beautiful color to your hummus.

Serve with vegetables and tortillas - which we can make ourselves.

You can also sprinkle sesame seeds on the hummus or sprinkle them with a little pumpkin seed oil.

Bonus recipe: Homemade tortilla with turmeric

 40 g of flaxseed + hot water

2 tablespoons oatmeal

2 tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes

A couple of pinches of black salt

1 teaspoon Organic Happy Naturals Turmeric powder

Other spices to taste (cumin, nutmeg, pepper)

Pour the flaxseed with about three times the amount of hot water. Allow it to reach a jelly texture in a few minutes. We mix everything else and work it into a mass. (If it is difficult to assemble, you can add nutritional yeast flakes or oatmeal, or you can mix in chia seeds and other seeds. If they are too thick, you can loosen their texture with plant-based milk.

Smooth in a thin layer on a baking sheet greased with coconut oil.

Bake at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes until crispy (watch out, because it burns quickly).

Cut into triangles while still warm.

Bon appetite! It goes perfectly with turmeric hummus!
